Q: Your cakes are beautiful but do they taste good?

A: All our cakes are baked freshly, which is why you can customise each order. Every week we bake extra sponge cakes as we always get customers who want a last minute cake. We also do not use preservatives in our cake, which means that they do not have long shelf life like store bought cakes. Our sponge cakes have a shelf life of six to seven days.  

Q: What cake should I go for?

A: Most customers opt for sponge cake as it’s the taste majority of people are familiar with. We tend to hear some customers say ‘I don’t like chocolate cake or fruit cake’, but we hardly hear customers say ‘I don’t like sponge cake’.

Also you can have more than one cake flavour if ordering a two tier cake or more, they don’t all have to be the same flavour.

For example most brides don’t like fruit cake, but if you are having a three tier wedding cake you can have one as fruit, another as chocolate or marble and the last as sponge, whatever rocks your boat.  

Q: How do I order?

A: You can ask for a quote or order some of our already made designs online. If requesting for a quote, when happy with our quote we will send you a portal for payment. 

Q: Is a deposit required when placing an order?

A: A 50% non-refundable payment is required with all orders, placed with the balance payable before pick up or delivery. For late orders the full payment is required and extra charge for the late order.

Orders made from our online store require full payment at checkout. 

Q: How far in advance should I place my order?

A: We require at least 2 weeks’ notice but if you have a last minute order call us and we would see how we can accommodate you.

Q: Do you offer delivery?

A: When requesting for a quote or ordering please state that you want delivery.

Q: Is your cake gluten-free?

A: Not yet, we are working on it.

Q: Are your cakes nut-free?

A: Our cakes are nut-free but prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, if you have terrible nut allergies we advise you DO NOT ORDER.

Q: Are your cakes suitable for vegans?

A: We are still working on a vegan recipe, so stay tuned. 

Q: Do I have to collect my cake in person?

A: You can pick your cake in person or send a loved one to do it for you. We will release your order as long as proof of purchase is shown. 

Q: Can your cakes be frozen?

A: We advise you eat your cake within six days of receiving it. If you decide to freeze it, we suggest you wrap it in portions and put it in the freezer. When you are ready to eat it, defrost in the fridge and consume it immediately. 

Q: How do I store my cake?

A: We advise you put your cake order in the fridge at your earliest convenience to keep it fresh. 

Q: Do you offer cancellations and refunds? 

A: You can cancel your order two weeks before the due date. Full refunds depend on how far along your order has gone. We do not do last-minute cancellations and refunds.
